Sun rash/burn from tanning bed?

i have gone tanning like 4 or 5 times because i have homecoming next weekend. just like the 3ed or 4th time here i started to get a rash. i sometimes get a sun rash in the spring and this is pretty much like it except that i itch all over my back and stomache. my question is how can i get rid of this itching/burn. i have decided not to go tanning anymore cause it is driving me nuts! i think i'm going to be up all night itching:(

try putting vinegar on it.

it could be from the tanning lotion that you use, I wouldnt suggest putting anything on it like the person above has said because it may make it worse, you probably need to see the doctor before you put anything on it, until then you can try taking cool showers and do anything you can do to keep from itching because if it is a rash it is probably going to spread, get it checked out as soon as you can. Take care!
Reply:it's the chemicals they used to clean the bed before you laid in it most likely. my sister and i went tanning the same day and both ended up staying up all night because of the itch. we tried everything and not much help....cold showers help but other than that not much. it should be gone soon...it only took 2 1/2 days to get completely over...needless to say i never tan anymore!.......good luck
Reply:I know EXACTLY what you're talking about... The best you can do is just lotion up... I remember I went tanning a few time in one week and woke up crying I was itching so bad because of the dry skin. Whatever you do dont use scented lotion though. It kindof hurts on the rash.

Hope I helped!

Also, If you think it's really bad, my friend got the same thing but it itched sooooo bad she made a warm bath and put oatmeal in it. It really helps with the itching and the redness of the rash.
