Which is better, a spray tan or the tanning beds?

i dont know which would be the better bet?


have you had any bad experiences with the spay tans?


i know tanning beds are bad for your skin and require multiple appointments, but do they look better?


im just looking for overall advice.

Reply:Tanning is bad for your skin and can cause cancer. Being pale is much better for your skin.
Reply:I bet those spray tans don't work, but I would do the tanning bed even though that's not a good idea either. I think they have Jergens natural glow lotion to help out with a tan..maybe you should try that to see if it works.

Reply:"Bad for your skin" is an understatement. Tanning beds increase your risk of skin cancer by like a thousand percent, as well as prematurely aging your skin, causing it to dry and wrinkle sooner.





Spray tans are a pain in the *** though because for one thing you have to stand naked in the same position for 30-45 minutes while it dries or it will come out uneven or rub off on your clothes and furniture.





Your best bet is a controlled dose of sunlight every couple of days with sunscreen before and aloe vera afterward. Just like with exercise there is no adequate shortcut with tanning.
Reply:I have to say I agree, we already expose ourselves to multiples risks on a daily basis (passive smoking etc), why add to it by going on sunbeds?? I have weekly spray tans, which are applied by a trained proffesional using an airbrush, and I have a nice healthy safe tan.....which doesn't look orange!!

Reply:tanning beds are "cancer boxes" i dont recommend them. i also dont recommend spray tans cuz u might miss a spot while spraying. i use a tanning lotion and it works just great (it doesnt make me orange). It's Loreal Sublime Bronze ... you should try it out.
Reply:TO ME i think both are crappy. tanning beds cost too much and you have to wait for a long time for the tan to look real. when girls I know go to the tanning beds.. you can tell because its real fake orange color.


the spray tan probably smears off when you put it on.





between the two i would do the tanning bed..but its real expensive!
Reply:Well, i just went spray tanning fir the first time and so far its smelly and yucky. The capsule scared the living CRAP outta me. First of all, you have to hold your breath from all that time and you start to get claustrophobic, But, the actual tan looks so good. Id never do it again.
