First Tanning Appointment.?
Since it's your first time you should probably stay in for about 10-15 minutes. You want to use a tanning lotion, you can get it at the tanning salon. You should expect some serious heat, but I guess it is suppose to be pretty relaxing!
Reply:well they'll tell you the min %26amp; max times you can stay in, and they let you choose. if you've never been tanning before, or you burn pretty easy, or you just haven't been in the sun in awhile, i would go on the lowest time.
i always choose the max because i want to be really tan, but when i haven't been in awhile i get burnt!
if you're not sure, ask them for a suggestion. they're trained to be able to do all that stuff.
as for lotion, you can use any, but make sure you use something. skin tans better when it's moisturized. i use hawaiian tropic dark tanning lotion with sunscreen. it has an spf 4 in it. at first i thought it would make me tan slower, but it doesn't at all. i get way dark. you can also buy lotions at the salons, but they cost a lot more. they are supposed to work better though. i've tried some samples and they work really well, but the lotion i use is so amazing that i just stick with it. and it only costs like $7 as opposed to the $40+ bottles at the salons.
also, i can't tell from the website, but if they have high pressure where you're going, make sure to choose that. it costs a little bit more, but it is definitely worth it. one high pressure session is like 3-5 of a regular bed, and also it filters out either UVA or UVB i can't remember, but whichever it is, it's the ones that cause you to burn, so you're less likely to burn in those, and if you do, it takes a lot longer to do so.
good luck and have fun! tanning is so addicting! i absolutely love the smell in there. all the lotions and just the smell and warmth of the beds, omg. you'll love it i gaurentee it! let me know how it goes!
