Would baby oil be good for tanning?

I understand the risks of going tanning, so please don't say "don't go, you'll get cancer .. " cus i know i could get it. I'm just wondering if it would be alright to use. I'm already tanned, I just want to keep my tan.
Would baby oil be good for tanning?
Well I will not type what you already said about Cancer.. etc BUT that is what I was going to say...LOL

Baby Oil doesnt block any of the bad stuff so in order to keep your tan and still be "safe" you need to read bottles in the tanning and sunblock isle of your local store.. there are products designed for just what you are looking for but still keep you safe which is the best of both worlds I will update if I find it on Google.

Would baby oil be good for tanning?
NO! You'll burn to a crisp! I suggest you just use hand lotion (which is only SPF 8).
Reply:probably
Reply:Depends on the type of baby you get the oil from.
Reply:WELL SOME PEOPLE USE IT BUT LIKE WHEN I LAY OUT I JUST LIKE GO AND BUY LIKE SWEATISH BEAUTY AND THAT IS AWESOME LOL
Reply:When you tan, you're exposing your skin to the UV rays from the sun that causes sun cancer, and even early aging. You should use sunscreen, you still get your tan while protecting yourself from the rays.
Reply:it works!! but if you have fair skin you will burn. it does tan you faster though
Reply:no there are special chemicals in tanning oil that makes it work. baby oil works in another way
Reply:Baby oil is okay for natural tanning but you really shouldn't use it in the tanning bed. It's the equivalent of covering your hand in butter after you burn it. It makes you burn more.
Reply:yep!
Reply:no,
Reply:Don't use it if you are going in a tanning bed. IF you are, use indoor tanning lotions that they sell at the tanning place. If you are tanning outside, use oil in the places where u would like to attract the sun!
Reply:THink of it this way...baby oil is an oil, and what does oil do? You cook with it! You fry chicken with it! SO that's what would happen to your skin-you'd cook it!

You're better off wearing a hawaiian tropic low SPF oil like a 4 and you should be able to maintain your tan if you're out and about in the sun weekly.
Reply:if you do.. you have t be very careful... if you are exposed to the sun for too long then youll get a terrible burn!!! b

i use it.. but 10 minutes in the sun are enough.. i once stayed for 1/2 and hour and i got seriously sick.. spent a night in the hospitaL.. AND IM NOT EVENT HAT WHITE...
Reply:Apparently it works or at least it doesn't slow down the process I see people smother it on all the time when they lay outside. But if you tan at a salon they have stuff there for you to use.
Reply:You'll moe than likely burn real bad and peel! You don't want that I would get a bronzer that will just keep you dark without burning you!!!
Reply:no, you will cook like bacon you need a protectant in it like spf stuff.....
Reply:NO! Not unless you want to turn into a lobster and cause serious burns. Since you're already tan, continue to use a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or less and you'll keep the tan.
Reply:Don't use Baby Oil because it doesn't offer any protection from the Sun's harmful UV Rays! Use at least an SPF of 8 to maintain your tan. Never use Baby Oil in a tanning bed because you're burn and SLIDE right off the bed! That was a bit of humor...
Reply:I don't know but I know what it could be used for!!!!!!!!
Reply:instead use olive oil
Reply:no it is not good to use for tanning because you will get crisp.Just use sun tan lotaion or ragular sun lotion.
Reply:Absolutely NOT. Baby oil is mineral oil. The human body is not really composed of minerals so much as it is water. Moisturising your skin is the key to a healthy looking tan. Time is the other factor. USE SUN SCREEN. Allow yourself to tan slowly. And buy the best quality sunscreen you can get your hands on. I really like Neutragena products. And read the ingredients. Stay with the botanicals and away from the petrochemical and mineral types. Also, use a good moisturiser AFTER tanning. Lubriderm is great. Your pharmacist can recommend others.

Bon chance!
Reply:baby oil works good, but u should limit ur time in the sun when using it, as it will cause u to burn faster.
