Lighter Spots from Tanning Beds?

I have a several lighter spots of skin on my back. I have been tanning in a tanning bed for 3 months, and just noticed these when I upgraded to a super bed. Is it possible that these spots are from my back sweating? (The super beds are twice as hot.) I'm thinking about downgrading back to a regular bed. I need a semi-quick fix, as I'm getting married on June 17th - and a spotty back isn't going to look so cute with my strapless gown. Thanks!

I don't think sweating would cause spots like that. Maybe have your hubby help you with sunless tanning lotion so your back will look even. Good luck and congratulations!

I guet them too, honestly, there is nothing you can really do for it until you go back to your natural color again, and for me i did that but when i went back again to get a tan they kept coming back... If that happens then you might want to keep your original skin colour because it will be alot safer anyways, and it will still look fine. Im as pale as a Snowman and it still looks good. So let your skin colour go back to its natural tone and try tanning again.

Reply:Usually a lighter spot is a result of a pressure point.


Try laying in different positions each time you tan or turn over frequently. Use a self tanning product on the lighter spots to even the marks until you tan is more even. Since they are on your back you may need the help of a friend to apply or use a spray.
Reply:It used to happend to me, because of the way youre laying in the bed the skin isnt even, you could try laying in differnet postions ( which can get tricky in those beds) or start using a standup booth and you tan evenly! Good luck!
Reply:I don't think the spots are caused by sweating...if anything, that would cause you to burn on your back. Are you on birth control? Because that can cause you to tan unevenly and have light spots like what you're describing. My tanning salon has such warnings posted on their walls and yours may as well.
