New belly piercing and tanning..?

Hey, I got my belly pierced about two weeks ago and I was wondering if I can go tanning or should I wait?

How do you plan on tanning? If its spray on I would definately plan on waiting for at least a couple of months minimum if your using a tanning bed then well I would still wait over a month and then not stay in for longer than a few minutes at a time - keep in mind it can take on average 9 months to a year for a navel piercing to heal properly - even if your not getting the stuff coming out at all its still not healed as piercings heal from the outside in so even though you might feel they are healed after several months they arent yet.





My suggestion cover the area with something - then you have an untanned area but well if you really want the piercing you will just have to put up with that for quite some time.
Reply:You can sit in the sun all you'd like. Using tanning oils, however, is a different story. You don't want to put anything on your piercing other than what your piercer suggested. But there's nothing wrong with soaking in some sun. :-)
