Does anybody use Tingle tanning lotions?

I tanned today and forgot my tanning lotion at home. girl at salon gave me Australian Gold Tanning lotion with Tingle and now I look like a lobster! Does the redness go away? Or will it just look like I'm sunburned for a week or so?

THIS IS VERY NORMAL..AS LONG AS YOU HAVE A BASE TAN BEFORE YOU USE TINGLE THAN YOU SHOULD BE FINE...I USUALLY TAN WITH BRONZER'S AND ACCELERATORS , THEN LIKE ONCE A WEEK I USE TINGLE..IT DOES THE SAME THING TO ME...THE REDNESS WILL GO AWAY, OR GO DOWN BY TOMORROW...ALTHOUGH SOME PEOPLE CANT USE TINGLE, THERE SKIN IS WAY TO SENSITIVE AND BREAK OUT AND IT HURTS...BUT AS LONG AS YOU DIDN'T FEEL TO HOT, OR YOUR SKIN HURT REALLY BAD THEN YOU ARE FINE..IT WILL ACTUALLY BOOST YOUR TAN ALOT AND MAKE YOU ALOT DARKER...WELL I HOPE THIS HELPS...IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME...GOOD LUCK !!!

I usually prefer tingle lotion. I think that in the end it provides a richer tan. Some people have really sensitive skin, and it can be too much for them. the redness will go away. Just be sure to keep yourself moisurized, If your skin is feeling irritated, I recommend using lotion with aloe. Hope this helps.
Reply:When I tanned, I loved the tingle lotions...I think the one I was most fond of was called Hot Salsa or something along those lines. One of my friends tried it who was always more than than me and actually broke out in what appeared to be hives, so i guess it would depend on how sensitive your skin is.

On a side note, I no longer tan due to having a melanoma removed a few years ago.
Reply:No the tingle effect will fade in about a half an hour. It stimulates the melanin in your skin so you tan easier. A lot of people like it because it does help you acheive a tan sooner but then some people cant stand the tingle feeling. But the feeling you are feeling is normal and it will go away. Take a cold bath if it is really bothering you
Reply:Tingle lotions are supposed to give you a better tan. I only used a leg tingle lotion once, and that was enough for me. I was burning like crazy. I applied 100% aloe vera gel repeatedly for about 20-30 minutes and it went away and I really didn't see any difference. When you get home from your tan or if you have time at the salon, apply 100% aloe vera gel, WITHOUT lidocaine (very important). Try to do this after your tanning session and at least once day, everyday, while you are tanning. Also, since any kind of sun, real or fake, tends to dry out the skin, I recommend moisturizing in the morning after a shower and in the evening before bed and also after any tanning session with after-sun lotion or aloe vera gel. Keeping your skin moisturized will also help prolong the life of your tan. Good luck!
