I am a beginner at self tanning. Do you apply the tanning lotion everywhere, including your face?

Reply:My wife uses that and she puts it only on the body, and avoids spots like elbows and knees where it will look really dark. She NEVER puts it on her face.

Reply:no, don't put it on your face, unless you buy a tanner that is made specifically for the face. put it on your body though, avoiding the undersides of your hands and feet, and sparingly at the joints (elbows, knees, ankles) because you don't have very much skin there so it will go on darker.

Reply:I think that body tanning lotion does not work well on the face. There are special tanning formulations for the face. Use that on your face; the body stuff on your face may cause you to break out. Use the face stuff for your face.Remember to exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate, so the color will be even.

EVERYWHERE! that means: on the face, behind the ears, between ur fingers and toes, ur chest, ur legs, ur tummy, ur ***, ur legs, under ur foot....and anywhere else that is exposed to the sun and that u want tanned... i'm guessing u don't want to be tanned in some places and non-tanned in others, right?
Reply:Some people apply it on different areas. Also, some people tan nude, and others tan with a bra, and panty. But, you should apply tanning lotion on your legs, arms, stomach, chest area, and if you want your face. They also make face tanners that are different from regular tanning lotions. Also, since you are a beginner tanner, make sure you start off slow when staying in the tanning bed. Start off staying about 7 minutes, then as you gradually get tan, you can stay longer, and once you have reached your tanning goal, then you can stay 20-25. Also, they make different tanning lotions- They make bronzers, and tinglers. They bronzers help bring out natural pigments in you skin to help you look darker, and the tingler is a lotion that when you put it on, you tingle, and you may feel like you are burning, but you are not. A tingler helps get you tanner faster, or at least that is what i think. Also, it makes you look really red after you get out, and the red will go down in about a 1 or so. Then it will turn brown, and you will get really goof effects. But, if you think that you dont want to tingle, or get red, then use a bronzer. Also, make sure that you wear eye protection. UV rays can be harmful to your eyes. They make googles, and also sticker things that can go over your eye. So, it is your pick. Ask the tanning salon where you go- ask them which one they recommend. Also, after you tan, do not take a bath for about 2 hours. Or, it will decrease the chances of you getting dark. Also, make sure that you use a mosturizer after you tan, and after you take a bath/ It will help keep your tan longer, and it will make you glow!! Also, make sure that it is a mosturizer for after tan- They make some that arent for tanning, so make sure that you get the right one. Also, a good tanning lotion can cost anywhere from 30 and up. And you need a good, name brand lotion. And if you are fun, then they also make stickers that you can put on a place on your body- Such as your stomach- If you put the sticker in the same place everytime, then after a while you will see how white u used to be, and how dark you are now. It is optional, and used as a sex appeal. And if u dont want any tan lines, then tan nude. But, if you think that tan lines are sexy, then wear panty and bra. Also, when you go to tan- Make sure that you clean your bed- NO MATTER WHAT!! They say that they clean it, but you can clean it to to make sure!! Tanning beds can be nasty, and there are some nasty people that lay in them, so be sure that you clean it really good!! Also, if you want you can bring your head phones, and listen while u tan!!
