For acne I apply Retin-A micro before I go to bed, and in the morning I apply a topical antibiotic. Could I also apply a self-tanning lotion during the day too? I want a tan, but I don't want to expose my skin to the sun due to the sensitivity the Retin-A causes. I really would like some color!
Can I use self-tanning lotion on my face if I am using Retin-A micro at night?
I wouldn't! I would use a bronzer during the day instead (you know the powder kind, bare minerals makes a good one) The retin a is going to cause a different exfoliation rate in your face and will give you an uneven pigment. But don't go to the tanning booth like the person above said because that is just exposing your face to the same rays as the sun and will cause sensitivity.

You would be better off going to a Tan booth. If you use the self tanner, you are risking your face being blochy.
Reply:just give up the cream and get natural sunlight instead, it rarely works well anyways
Retin-A can get into your system, because vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin, chances are that it will accumulate in your system. You can get toxcity from it, and there are many unpleasent side effects that i don't want to mention
