I want to go Tanning?

I want to go to a tanning bed but everyone is telling me they are way to expensive and I'll get cancer and I will turn yellow and my skin will peel has anyone had any expierence with a tanning bed?
I want to go Tanning?
i work at a tanning salon, you only peel if you burn which is the tanning associates fault, you can usually get deals so they are not to expensive, and no you wont turn yellow.

all i suggest is that you wear sunscreen on you face because the face ages alot faster then you body.

so dont tan you face!

if you are worried about your face being white then use a bronzer or a sunless tan on your face.

there are other options you can go to a tanning salon and get a spray tan and they work pretty good.

Oh goodness...if you want to have orange skin- go for it. But I suggest to you please do not do that to yourself it ages the skin and it looks awful in the process.
Reply:It's like with anything else, you have to do it in moderation. You get skin cancer from frequent burns. DON'T buy the unlimited package. Buy a package that has 10 or 20 tans and spread them out, use like once or twice a week and don't go in for the full amount of time. Protect your face with an SPF and don't slather on the bronzer. In between visits you can use Loreal Sublime self-tanner to maintain the color. It works nice and doesn't turn your skin a funny color. Otherwise than that, tanning is fine.
Reply:I've never gone tanning and I sure don't ever want to.

Tanning is premature aging of the skin so the more you tan the more quicker you age, so I advise against it.

It really doesn't help in the long run.
Reply:There is always a risk when being exposed to UVA and UVB rays. Remember, that if you do tan, you must wear eye protection no matter what. Although there may appear to be no effects now, your vision and eyes may begin to show damage years from now, and you will regret not protecting yourself. Your skin may peel if you do not use a moisturizer. If you notice that maybe your nose or chest burns easily, buy chapstick with SPF and apply it to those areas, or bring a towel into the tanning room and lay it over your face. (Laying a towel over your face will NOT protect your eyes.) Never use an outdoor tanning lotion indoors. It has the opposite effect and will make you burn. If you use a decent lotion such as OC or Bearly Legal (my favorite) you will not turn yellow unless the lotion is extremely crappy. The lotion helps you to tan and stay moisturized. Some have bronzers to give you color sooner, but some may stain your skin so be careful when rubbing it in. Bring in a wet towel with you to get between your fingers and toes after applying a lotion with bronzers in it. Sorry that was so long, but I hope it answers your questions.
Reply:1. Tanning is not that expensive, 20 to 30 dollars a month if you buy a package, even less if you're a member of a health club or gym

2. spray on tans turn your skin yellow, or orange.

3. you will not get burnt, or peel if you tan gradually, starting at 3 or four minutes, and slowly going longer each time.

4. Lots of things give you cancer, it's just a choice you'll have to make for yourself.
Reply:When you start seeing your skin age you will wish you hadn't done it, even the once, and will always wonder what you would have looked like if you took even better care of your skin. People can overdo tanning so easily and end up with wrinkles and leathery skin long before their time. Be happy with the skin shade you have or try a sunless tanner. UV damage to skin is forever so use sunscreen religiously now and your older self with thank you down the line. I have used a bed before to help with psoriasis, but only a short time. It was an easy thing to do, you just lie there:) I don't think the UV rays they use cause sunburn, but they do deeper damage to the skin you won't see for years.
Reply:Below is some information about tanning bed safety.
Reply:I agree with 1 Hot Photographer. I buy 20 visits and it lasts me forever. The first week I go three times a week, every other day so as not to get too much color (burn). THen I go like once a week for a week or two and then just when ever I feel like I am fading. I also use a lotion with a self tanner in it. Use according to directions, they are so much better formulated these days then back in the days of orange streaks!!!!
